Myriad Remote Edit Server v6 - Version History
v6.3.5 2nd April 2024
New Features/Changes:
Myriad Anywhere News v6:
- The information that is being sent to Myriad Anywhere has been streamlined to improve performance, this particularly applies when opening a Bulletin for editing.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Myriad Anywhere News: Users could not successfully start the process of publishing a news story to a 3rd party website.
v6.3.4 7th March 2024
New Features/Changes:
Myriad News Database:
- You can now create a new Myriad News v6 database from the Remote Edit Server settings window.
Replication:
- Database Settings: The Audio Format options are no longer replicated with the remote station. This is to allow individual replication partners to control their own audio format and storage needs.
- Station Settings: Scheduling and Split Playout settings are no longer replicated with the remote station. This is to allow individual replication partners to control their own scheduling and split settings.
AI Voice Links:
- Azure OpenAI: Updated to the latest Azure OpenAI release - required to support the latest updated to Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Anywhere users: Users could not save Personal Jump buttons until they had logged into full on-premise Myriad Playout first.
- Database selection: If there are no Myriad Databases on the current Microsoft SQL Server you are now shown then Select Database Dialog so you can create a new one if needed.
v6.3.3 28th February 2024
New Features/Changes:
Security/User History:
- Editing Station Attributes (i.e. Categories/Types/Eras etc.) is now logged in the User History.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Myriad News: You could not successfully delete a story if it had a Media item attached to it and had the option to delete media when deleting a story turned on.
- Mass Changer: Fixed a problem with Mass Changing the scheduling details for an Advert in a different station would wrongly apply the new scheduling settings and could affect the currently open Station as well.
v6.3.2 24th January 2024
The following issues have been fixed:
- Find next empty Media Item: Myriad would sometimes be unable to find the next available media item in a range if there were no further items anywhere on the MediaWall. For example, recording or generating a new Voice Link in a range that ended at the end of the MediaWall.
v6.3.1 12th December 2023
New Features/Changes:
Media Wall/Report:
- Find next empty Media Item: The way that Myriad searches for the "next" empty media item, especially in databases that are set to replicate with other systems, has been entirely rewritten to give a significant performance increase. This is used when adding new items via Myriad Anywhere including recording new Voice Links
- CRTC Copyright report: The "SUBCATEGORY" field is now populated from the Custom4 field on the Media Editor. Existing stations may need to remove the existing "CRTCAirplay-v5.xml" file in your DataLocation\Reports\Copyright\Templates so this file can be recreated to get this update.
Myriad Schedule:
- User History: To reduce clutter in the User History, all Automatic scheduling and log cleanup of both Myriad and Advert logs is now logged in the User History as "System" events - to see these events you need to change the filter from "Normal Events" to either "All Events" or "System Events". Any Scheduling or log deletions that are done by a user are still shown in the Normal Events list.
- Myriad now logs in the User History when a user adds, edits or deletes a Clock, Clock Assignment Set or a Station Rules set.*
- Remote users are now limited to scheduling no more than 31 days in a single scheduling operation. If a user needs to schedule more than this duration then they should break it into shorter date ranges.
Security:
- Users are now prevented from attempting to login too frequently if they do not have a valid username and password. They will instead recieve a message telling to wait a short while before they can try to login again. Subsequently entering a correct username and password will clear this time delay.
- Replication connections: The login and logout messages relating to a replication connection are now only shown if you change the User History filter to include "system" events.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Myriad Anywhere TCP port: You could change the port in the settings window, but it would revert back to 6947 the next time you started Remote Edit Server.
- Importing/Replicating Media Items: Importing a transport file or replicating a media Item where the media item is set to "Basic Media Item" was wrongly setting the destination media item's type to the type for the range, rather than honouring the original source media item's Item Type.
- Media Export: Exporting a transport file or replicating a media item to a remote system would not correctly include any "Display By" information.
- Media Import: Replacing a media item on the MediaWall with a transport file was not correctly moving the previous version into the recycle bin.

You specify the command line tool to use on a new Audio tab in Remote Edit Server Settings. This also includes a preset option to automatically configure the options required to use the Stereo Tool command line tool - note that this requires a license from Stereo Tool.
- Important note: You cannot not currently process voice tracks that are being stored on a MediaWall stored using the Opus audio format as most command line tools cannot process Opus format audio files.
Myriad Anywhere Changes:
- Anywhere Cloud: There is a new option on the Myriad Anywhere Cloud menu to manage your Myriad Anywhere Cloud account on the Broadcast.Radio platform - https://my.broadcast.radio/station/x/options/anywhere
- Anywhere Cloud: The first time you run Myriad Remote Edit Server and choose the option to install the Anywhere Tunnel Service, Myriad RES will check to see if there was an API key previously used in RES v5 and will display that key along with additional information on how to enter that into the settings web page. If no API key is found then RES will ask if you want to be taken to the Myriad Anywhere page on the Broadcast.Radio platform to locate the API key.
- Anywhere Cloud Tunnel Service: Myriad Remote Edit Server now checks the running version of the Tunnel Service and warns you if you are running the older release that shipped with Myriad v5.

- Note: This requires an update to Myriad Anywhere Cloud so may not be available immediately but will be made available in the very near future.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Firewall: The firewall rules would not be correctly updated/created in some non-english versions of Windows.
v6.1.1 22nd March 2023
New Features/Changes:
Myriad Anywhere Changes:
- Station Enabler Codes: Due to changes in the way that Stations are enabled for use with Myriad Anywhere, you may need to obtain an updated Station Enabler code from Broadcast Radio for each Station that you are accessing via Myriad Anywhere Cloud or Myriad Anywhere Self-Hosted. If you try to open a station that needs an updated code, then Myriad Anywhere will display a message when you try to access that station. Please contact hello@broadcastradio.com to get more information on getting your Enabler codes updated.
