Myriad Playout v5 Splits Support:
- Playout Remote can now be used to view the Split Break information from Myriad Playout v5's new Split Station features. If your Split Station is enabled for Playout Remote Pro then you can also see the status of all split players and the progress of each advert break as it plays.
Other changes:
- Support for connecting to Myriad Playout v4 has been removed. If you need to connect to Myriad Playout v4 then you should remain on v5.29.1 or earlier.

New Features/Changes:
Playout Remote Pro and Myriad Anywhere Cloud Pro:
- If you have Playout Remote Pro and Myriad Anywhere Cloud Pro, you can now connect to your station via Anywhere Cloud, so you no longer have to open your Remote Edit Server ports to the internet.
- In the address box at the top of the connection settings window, just enter your Myriad Anywhere Cloud URL - for example "mystation.myriadanywhere.com" - and then select the option below to connect via Myriad Playout v5 via Remote Edit Server or Myriad Anywhere Cloud, then enter your Username, Password and the Station ID number that you want to connect to (usually '0').
- You cannot use One Time Pin codes with this feature, so the account you connect with should be a locked down account with a very complex password and then tick the optoin to not require OTP codes on the User account in User Management.

Log Display and Dashboard:
- Adds support for displaying Time Stretch information for the Scheduled Log
- When the log width is quite reduced then the intro information column is automatically hidden to ensure you can see the title information as clearly as possible.
Media Players (Playout Remote Pro):
- Adds support for displaying Time Stretch information for playing media items.
Appearance:
- If the space available to display a connection is quite restricted them the top panel automatically shrinks and the connection status panel is hidden.
- Myriad has a new flatter appearance for many items including Media Items, Favourites, Log items and in the Dashboard.
The following issues have been fixed:
- If you have a very high number of connections, then the settings window would show scrollbars in the wrong place.

The following issues have been fixed:
- Dashboard display: Sweepers would not always show their progress correctly on the circular sweep, particularly if the sweeper or the song had Overall Media Start/Ends set.
- Myriad Remote could cause high CPU usage in certain circumstances, particularly if Diagnostic Logging was enabled.

The following issues have been fixed:
- Log display: The Over/underrun panel was not visible in Myriad Remote, but was showing correctly in Myriad Remote Pro.
- Changing Stations: If Myriad Playout changed station then the Dashboard would not then start showing the playing items once the log was started.
- Disconnection: After closing a connection to a remote system Playout Remote would sometimes use a large percentage to available CPU.

Myriad Playout v5 connections:
- Dashboard: You can start and stop the log from the Dashboard using the power button in the same way as in the studio. Just highlight the item you want to start from in the Log display and click the power button.
- Dashboard: The Player number is now displayed on Dashboard, and you can now use the same Play Now/Cue buttons on the menu on the panel in the same way as Myriad Playout.
- Dashboard: The timing bar that shows total time remaining and underrun is now shown in Playout Remote.
- Media Player Display: Myriad Playout v5.23 and higher now sends Media Player status information to Myriad Playout Remote Pro, which means you can now see Media Players in the Remote display and also control those players using the onscreen transport controls. There is also an option to control whether the Volume sliders are visible.
- Ducking: If you have the option to show the volume sliders then you also get a "Duck" button that "ducks" the audio level of all players and a second click restores it - ideal for using Playout Remote with a realtime audio feed of a remote microphone.
- Favourites: When you play a Favourite from Playout or from Playout Remote, the progress of the item is now shown on the Favourite within Playout Remote.
- Favourites: When you switch to a Favourites set where an item is already playing, that item's progress is now displayed on the Favourite.
Myriad Playout v5 connections via Myriad Remote Edit Server v5:
- You can now connect to the "On Air" computer securely via Remote Edit Server v5.
- This very powerful feature means you can now safely use Playout Remote from outside your network as the connection requires a valid Myriad Playout user with the correct permissions to connect remotely.
- Important: This feature is only supported if Myriad Playout and the PC running Myriad Playout Remote AND the PC running Remote Edit Server are ALL running on Windows 10, or Windows Server 2016 or newer. Windows 7 is not supported.
Common changes to both Myriad Playout Remote AND Remote Pro:
- Log Editing: You can now soft delete / restore log items by clicking on the time in the log display.
- Closing Remote: You are now asked if you want to close then window when clicking the window close button or choose File>Exit
- Startup Performance: The time taken to load and display the connections on startup has been reduced, particularly for configurations with a high number of remote connections.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Log display: If the scheduled log was not playing in Myriad Playout, then the remote scheduled log display would not show any items until you clicked the Refresh button.
- Dashboard Display: The Dashboard was not showing time remaining correctly if the item had an AutoFade adjustment on it.
v5.22 (Release 2) 7th April 2020
The following issues have been fixed:
- Myriad Playout v5 Connections: These would not always succesfully reconnect after Myriad Playout was closed and restarted.
- Choosing a single connection when multiple connections are configured: The connection type of the first connection was being used to attempt to create the connection for all connections - i.e. if the first connection was Playout v4 but the second ws to Myriad v5, then the connection would fail to connect.
- Myriad Playout v4 connections: The log display would not vertically fill the display and would leave a short grey bar at the foot of the display.
- In certain aspect ratios the Clock Settings button would not illuminate when the mouse was moved over it, and you could not click on it.

New Features/Changes:
Myriad Playout v5 connections:
- SmartInfo: Myriad Playout v5.22 and higher now send the latest Traffic information to Myriad Playout Remote.
Overall Appearance:
- The overall appearance of Myriad Playout Remote has been improved to give a cleaner look to many of the panels. The overall layout has also been tightened to remove the gaps between different areas.
Connection changes:
- The communications protocol that the Myriad Playout Remote uses to communicate with Myriad Playout has been completely rewritten to provide significant improvements to both performance and reliability.
- The connection to Myriad Playout is now made to the HTTP Service Port which is TCP port 9180, so you will need to enable the HTTP Service Port in Myriad Playout>Application Settings to allow Remote to connect.
- The communications method that older versions of Myriad Playout Remote used via TCP port 9100 (v5.21 and earlier) will be removed in the next release of Myriad Playout, so you should plan to migrate to the new version of Playout Remote in the near future.
- As part of this change, Myriad Playout Remote v5.22 and higher cannot be used to connect to older versions of Myriad Playout.
- Important: The Myriad Playout Remote tool is only supported if Myriad Playout and the PC running Myriad Playout Remote are BOTH running on Windows 10, or Windows Server 2016 or newer. Windows 7 is not supported.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Log display: If the Scheduled Log did not contain enough items to fill the Log Display then you would see Log Item placeholders rather than correctly displayed log items.

Checking for Updates (Experimental new feature):
- There is a new menu option on the Help menu which will check for any updates to Myriad Playout Remote. This will only check for "Full Release" status updates.

- Connection display panel at top of display: This would incorrectly "Not Connected.." if Playout Remote was started while Myriad was still starting, or if you changed the Station.

The following issues have been fixed:
- Favourites: Selecting a different set via Playout Remote and then playing a Favourite from it would play the favourite that is shown on screen in Playout, not the one from Playout Remote. This fix requires Myriad Playout to be updated as well.

New Features/Changes:
Log Display:
- The Log Display has been updated to use the same scrolling design as Myriad Playout so now has buttons to the right hand side of the Log display. You can also use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down the log. The log display is limited to the previous hour, the current hour and the next hour.
- This new Log Display has significantly improved the speed of updating the display when a new item starts playing.

Audio Monitor Display:
- You can now use show VU meters on each connection. These can either be from a local audio device or connecting to a Remote Computer running either Myriad Playout or the Broadcast Radio Audio Monitor
Clock Display:
- There is a new option to show a Clock next to the Dashboard. This option is only available with connections to Myriad Playout v5.
(Experimental) Myriad Playout v4 Support:
- You can now connect to Myriad Playout v4 and see the current log as well as player progress. The connection is readonly so you cannot control or alter the log.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Hanging on User Logout: Myriad Playout Remote would stop responding and eventually exit when the active user logged out of Myriad Playout.

- You can now connect to Myriad Network SE and see the current Advert Break log as well as player progress for Split breaks and Split groups.
The following issues have been fixed:
- Log jumping on Segue: Myriad Playout Logs would sometimes jump to a random page below the current item when refreshing.
v5.17 Release 2 - April 2019
New Features/Changes:
Multiple connections:
- Myriad Playout Remote has been significantly overhauled and now allows you to connect to multiple Myriad Playouts simultaneously.
- In Settings, you can now specify a number of Rows and Columns, as well as providing a list of connections that should be used. This is ideal for a "monitoring" style use where a single Myriad Playout Remote instance can show the status of multiple Myriad Playouts all in a single window.
- There is also a new "single connection" option that will prompt the user at startup for which connection to use, making it ideal where you may want to connect to different Myriad Playout instances depending on your workflow at the time. For example, you may sometimes want to connect to Studio 1, and other times to an Automation PC.
General appearance:
- Building on the changes in v.5.17, Myriad Playout Remote now has an even cleaner look, with the ribbon being completely removed, and all connection related options (e.g. show Smart Info etc.) now available on a single button.
Automatic connection:
- Myriad Playout Remote will now always attempt to connect to the remote Myriad Playout at startup, you no longer need to specify /connect on the command line.
Multiple Profiles:
- Myriad Playout Remote now supports Multiple Profiles, either by creating them from inside Myriad Playout, or by specifing /Profile=<ProfileName> on the command line.

- There is a new settings window displayed when you click the Settings window that shows you the options to choose which station to connect to.

- Settings: Myriad Playout Remote would close immediately after editing the settings on some computers that had not run earlier releases of Playout Remote.

Connection protocol changes:
- The protocol that Myriad Playout Remote and Myriad Playout use to communicate with each other has changed significantly so you will need to update to Playout Remote v5.11 to connect with Myriad Playout v5.11.
- Myriad Playout Remote now uses significantly less data to update the Log display, particularly on large displays. This is most noticeable on slower internet connections.
Display:
- There is a new panel across the top of the window that shows the name of the database and the computer you are connected to.
- Myriad Playout Remote now remembers it's window position.
Connection stability:
- Myriad Playout Remote now handles connection losses much more gracefully.
